Fakultas Ilmu Sosial & Ilmu Politik

FISIP UPNVJ – Hi. I am Sabrina, I’m a Political Science Student from UPN “Veteran” Jakarta. I’m a Human Resource Intern in Bukit Vista working on Awareness Chapter / Marketing Division. So my job is working in the recruitment side of the company. I recruit, interview, screen CVs, and approach candidates, and sometimes I’m also working in the Public Relations department of the company. Like approaching university partners, lecturers, staff, and organizations and maintaining collaboration with them.Sometimes I also attend Universities webinars and handle an event with universities on behalf of Bukit Vista in order to promote BV job vacancies. I also manage Bukit Vista’s social media accounts, produce content, write an article, and upload them on the Bukit Vista blog. I would say working here is like a mix of working as a Human Resource and working as a Public Relations. A truly incredible experience!

Sabrina likes to drink coffee besides doing HR work

So, on the Human Resource side, here’s what I already do.

Manpower Planning

Manpower planning, then, is a recruiting strategy. I am aware that no manpower planning exists in Bukit Vista. When I was looking for applications, I occasionally wanted clarity on the exact number of people we needed. Are we looking for entry-level or supervisory positions? Because I feel that future planning could be better, I created the 2023 Manpower Planning, which required each Chapter Lead to complete a form stating the amount of personnel they required for their teams. As a result, we may be able to avoid a future personnel deficit.

Red flag and Green flag on Recruiting

I also made a Guideline on detecting a Red flag and a Green flag from a potential candidate. We have a Human Resources User Relationship Communication program in which we approach potential applicants via LinkedIn and offer them work possibilities in Bukit Vista. But how can we know if the individual we contact is the correct person or a good candidate? I assess the quality of the candidates who have previously been approached by other members of the HR Team.

Because I was a Sub-supervisor on LinkedIn for candidate selection, I rated the applicant and decided whether we should proceed and call them or drop the individual. Then, to simplify things, I put down what I consider to be a red flag and a green flag on a candidate and explain which type of applicant we should approach and which we should avoid.

As a consequence, I developed Guidelines for finding and contacting top-tier prospects. As a result of engaging people via LinkedIn, we now have much more personnel in Bukit Vista, and several vacancies have already been filled!

On the other hand, on the Public Relations side, here’s what I have done:

Email Blast

Aside from engaging each possible applicant one at a time, how does the HR staff locate candidates? We may send an email to a huge number of people informing them that we are now taking applications. Every week, we send an email blast to thousands of individuals.

As a consequence, I prepared the email each week in advance, selecting the recipients and deciding on the theme by completing the copywriting and providing the material. I obtained design guidance from the other members of the Awareness team before uploading the information to our LinkedIn or Website. The body of the email will then include a link to our website or LinkedIn profile. As a result, our social media pages will receive more attention.

Setting Up an Event

Bukit Vista frequently attends university events while also engaging with university partners. It is my responsibility as an HR in the Awareness Chapter to promote Bukit Vista and raise awareness of our employment positions. For the pre-event, I developed the presentation materials, spoke with partners, and became the event’s speaker! For the following event, I look at how many individuals have already applied to Bukit Vista, evaluate their applications, and determine whether or not they are a good fit. If they are qualified, I will ask them to an interview and move through with the hiring process. During my internship, I have already managed three events: Psikologi UGM at Bursa Magang 2023, Universitas Negeri Semarang Job Fair, and FISIP Universitas Brawijaya.

Inspiring project right? We always appreciate our Vistans and Visterns, who have Inspired Delight and created an impact for our employee, guests, and partners. We value their talents and see them as a precious asset to our company.
